The size of the thumbnail sets is easy to resize, by selecting a numerical input of rows/columns combination. You can also resize the shots that it gives you by simply clicking on them and inputting a new size. You can control the range by using a dedicated set of playback controls, which allows them to easily define start and end reference points. You can do that by preferring a narrower timeline for screenshot generation. When dealing with large clips, you may want to grab shots from a specific section of the video. There are also a number of on-screen controls that are very well laid out, making all tasks easy to perform, which improves workflow efficiency by a ton. Drag-and-drop operations are supported, which makes the process so much easier. On bootup, you'll have to add a video to the program and it will automatically generate a grid of screenshots for you. The installation process for Movieprint is simple and straightforward. This is useful, as you can skip a whole step in the process of creating a good thumbnail. While you can do it yourself, there are tons of programs out there to help you do exactly that. Getting a perfect thumbnail for a video sharing website is even more annoying. You can switch the default view to timeline view for each individual video. Other options provided include adding a header to the output image to display file path, file details or timeline information (all individually selectable), and to show frames or the timecode for each individual thumbnail. While it makes little sense to create a 1x1 grid, you may want to experiment a bit to find the perfect setting for your use cases. You may change that to any number between 1 and 20 for columns and rows. The program uses a 4x4 grid by default to display 16 thumbnails of the video. Drag and drop one or multiple video files into the program interface to get started. MoviePrint is simple to use, at least in its base configuration. It will add a shortcut to the Start menu of Windows but opens without installation dialog. The Windows version is provided as a zip archive that you need to extract.
